Resistant to temperature extremes
This silicone tubing is notable for its resistance to temperature extremes. It also is highly non-conductive and naturally self-extinguishing. This makes this silicone tubing an excellent choice for appliance and computer applications
Mechanically strong and durable
Peroxide-cured for enhanced mechanical strength, it contains no sulfur or other acid-producing chemicals. This eliminates the possibility of staining, corroding or deterioration of the materials in contact with it. It is also extremely resistant to ozone, oxygen and UV degradation even after long periods of exposure.
General application and installation tips
We recommend taking special care selecting fittings and clamps for silicone tubing. This is because barb edges that are too sharp and the edges of unlined metal clamps could cut into the tubing wall and possibly cause a failure. This silicone tubing is not a USP Class VI material and so it should not be used for implantable or in-body applications. It also should not be used in continuous steam applications.
