Silicone Tube Products
There are many types and they seem to have many different names even for the same product. Here are a few of the most common products and categories.
Reducers/Step-Hoses/Transition Hoses: all these names are for the same hose and the names are certainly logical. These names become confusing only when the term is used in combination with another shape such as a Hump Hose, Elbow, or Coupler. This hose simply has a smaller ID on one end compared to the other.
Sticks/Stick Hose/Straight Hose/Couplers: Mandrel wrapped straight hose is normally made in 12 ft. lengths but some manufacturers offer 24 ft. lengths. Straight hose is often sold in 3 ft. lengths which the industry refers to as "sticks". These sticks are often then cut to the customer requested length. The "couplers" are often straight hose 3" in length.
